The Senior Citizens Day Respite Centre provides socialisation for
CHSP/HACC eligible people who are frail aged, and/or younger people
with a disability including Qld Veterans under 65 years of age
and Respite for their Carers.
The Centre offers Morning Tea and a Two Course lunch as
well as programmed activities focused on providing opportunities
for social interaction and enjoyment with peers.
Transport is available to Guests living within the Toowoomba City Region.

Has your mum been assessed by My Aged Care? If so, please ask them to add the service ‘Social Support Group’ at Toowoomba Senior Citizens Day Respite Centre to her Care Plan. Once they do this I will receive an email from them, I will then contact you.
If you mum hasn’t been assessed by My Aged Care, please give me a call to set up an appointment and I can make a referral for her.

Hello. My name is Mary and I have been going to this Centre for over a year now. I wanted to let you know that if you are missing out on cuddles and caring thoughtful carers, then this is the place for you. The meals are delicious and many of us look for a second serve, especially the scones with jam and cream. The activities are really enjoyable but if you don’t want to do them, there is a lovely lounge area where you can play cards or watch TV or read a book, its all up to you. My only wish is that I could go more often but maybe one day, I will.
